It is with much sadness that the Club has learned of the death of John Hawkes. John was a vice president and long time supporter of the Club and also father of vice president Mike Hawkes and grandfather of first eleven player James Hawkes.

The Club sends its deepest condolences to his family and friends.

John's Memorial Service will be held at St Peter and St Paul Church in Tring at 2pm on Tuesday 1st October. It was John's wish that people would feel happy and comfortable and should wear whatever feels comfortable - it is not necessary to wear black.

Refreshments will be served in the Church after the service at 3pm and John's family welcome you all to reminisce and celebrate a life well lived.

Later in the afternoon the family will be continuing their celebration of John's life at Tring Park Cricket Club. The cricket club and the friends he made there were an important part of John's life. Everyone is very welcome to join us in the TPCC clubhouse from 4.30pm. There will be grazing boards available.
