Photo is of Nick Wale who top scored with a brilliant 90 for the Fourth Team.
Chalfont St Peter were the latest visitors to Tring. They won the toss, I am on a bad run, and asked us to bat.
We had our strongest batting line up of the season including Matt Bowyer making a return so I was quite pleased.
Pace off the ball and three quick wickets less so. The Nick W combination of Wale and Wake changed the game though.
Wale with a superb 90 ably supported by Wake with an excellent 67 ensured we reached 229 in our overs. a glass or two
of red the night before is the way foward!
Chalfont needed to get off to a fast start but excellent accurate bowling ensured they didnt. Olly Hemlin took two early wickets
and Krishna Mohan returned figures of 10 over 2-16 to strangle them. Grouty chipped in with a couple as well and they ended up on 168
70 runs short. Their captain Kash with 75 was the pick of their players. Another very good day for the Park. Footballs coming home and so
is Cricket!
