After spending a ridiculous amount of time in the biggest car park in England, the M25, we eventually found the NPL ground.A very nice setting in South West London. I lost the toss and we were asked to bat. We had a very young team supplemented by a few oldsters . Our innings was a tale of batsmen getting in and NPL taking very good catches. Dick Highton top scored on 31 before falling to a diving catch behind .Ash Vos despite sraining a muscle running a quick single fell to an excellent catch at square leg for 21. Two excellent caught and bowleds didnt help our cause . Tom Powell-Williams being particulary unlucky falling to a reflex grab for 20. We eventually ended up on 151 in the last over. Despite a brave effort in the field NPL chased the total losing 3 wickets. Tom again the pick of our bowlers taking 2-26. The journey home took less than half the time getting there. Although when you are being entertained by DP ( Dan Parker ) on the drive back it is always amusing. Hope it was a good party!
