Final over Drama

The one that went down to the wire. Tring again won the toss and inserted Farnham Common. Ed Pike and Tristran Murrell got us off the perfect start . 4 consecutive maidens and Olly Hemlin holding an excellent low chance put Farnham on the back foot. Olly Hemlin got his first two wickets in men's cricket bowling straight and a couple of grassed chances meant they were 72-3 at Drinks . Sensible batting from Yasir and Zahid who scored 50 helped them reach 183-6 . Matt Cave taking a good catch to show us oldsters how it should be done. A decent enough effort in the field and chasable total. Dick Highton and Nick Wake built a decent base, 80-0 at the halfway Drinks . The Chairman mainly using the outside edge of his bat at first before reverting to type and playing some glorious shots. Farnham had a good bowling attack and never made it easy to score runs. The weather also started to turn having been sunny. Dark clouds and a bit of rain in the air with the light deteriorating.
