Moist in Marlow

What a difference a week makes. From sun cream , icecream, flipflops and shorts to umbrellas , raincoats and hot cups of tea. So to Marlow Park. A lovely venue set next to the Thames , sadly hard to see through the drizzle. We struggled a bit with numbers and travelled with 10. Debuts for two colts today, Olly Hemlin and Ben Bezani. We took a bit of tap today . Their skipper is a quality bat who scored a very good hundred. To be fair the ball was like a bar of soap and we bowled 20 plus overs in horrible conditions. Both lads bowled well , credit to Colin Philips behind the stumps and Steve Wale for his two wickets . Tea and no let up in the weather meant an early finish and no chance for our gun batters to chase down an interesting target. Well done to all the boys today for sticking with it.
