Benn Kempster coming in at three after the early dismissal of Josh Camm then got going, falling LBW to Sameed just 4 short of his hundred from 66 balls, helping to accelerate our innings. When opener Robbie Grout fell for 78 caught at long on, Tring were 197-4 and opted to bat their full allocation of overs. A well-played, unbeaten 69 from Chris Curry off 50 balls, supported by the lower order, saw us to a total of 296-6 from 52 overs. Off spinner Sameed was the pick of the bowlers for Slough, finishing with 4-58 from 12 overs.

Slough set about chasing the total in aggressive fashion, but when the change to spin in the 7th over brought the first wicket to make the score 55-1 it was advantage to our Third Team.

However, a steady 79 from Rehan Ahmed, supported by the middle order, put Slough in the driving seat. We struggled to halt the flow of boundaries, and when Ahmed fell to make the score 212-4 in the 30th over, Slough looked set to chase the total down. Our visitors were comfortably seen home by a fifty from Arjun and further runs in the lower order, Slough reached their target in the 42nd over.
