The Third Team were asked to bat first and started well as the opening partnership of Josh Camm and James Wheeler put on 55 for the first wicket before a mini collapse saw the third team reduced to 71-3. Tom Calder batting at number four led the fightback scoring his first League hundred for the club as he finished 109 not out from only 77 balls. Calder shared useful partnerships with Alan Sheppard and Gus Cumming saw us post 261-5 off our 45 overs.
Eastcote's response was derailed by the impressive Gus Cumming who bowled a fast and furious opening spell as he dismissed both of Eastcote's opening batsmen in quick succession. With Eastcote looking to launch a counter attack, Bater introduced the experienced Dan Boniface who off his new short run picked up wickets in successive deliveries. Boniface strangled the Eastcote middle order as they finished 60 runs short with only captain William Bramble putting up any real resistance with a big hitting knock of 79.
