There was a brief rally as Ant McCormack and Toby Wastling put on 42 for the sixth wicket.
But the writing loomed even larger on the wall when Wastling was out to the first ball of the twenty seventh over and the score slumped even further to 72 for 8 as two wickets fell before the over was complete.
Burnham’s innings fluctuated as they lost early wickets as Lawrence Snookes (pictured) struck in consecutive balls in the fourth over. The innings was steadied and 91 was put on for the fifth wicket in two balls under thirteen overs. Atif Khan was bowled as he played across the line to a straight ball from Wastling and when Sajid Aziz to edged Snookes to Wastling at mid on the score stood at 231 for 6 with more than ten overs remaining.
Snookes then struck again thanks to an excellent diving catch by Jake Seagrave at mid wicket and two four overs later he struck on consecutive balls to wrap up the innings and finish with six for 56.
After gaining just five points the two's are now in fourth place, 13 points behind Chiswick and Whitton who they play on Saturday.
