Winter is over , Spring is in the air and the new cricket season is only two weeks away.
There has been a lot of activity over the winter and things have ramped up over the last
few weeks to ensure we are ready to hit the ground running.
Deric Newman organised a successful "Get Ready " weekend and Doyley is preparing the pitches to ensure another great summer at out wonderful venue.

The junior section promises to be as strong as ever with "Biggers " at the helm and training starts soon. Director of Cricket ,Richard Yates has been very busy all winter and our four league teams will be augmented by a fifth team this season. We have managed to secure Eddlesborough as a home venue for the Fives and they will play a number of Friendly games under League conditions with a view to joining the league in 2027.
Ian Taplin is again running and recruiting for our Women's section and there are plenty of opportunities for the girls to play in girls or mixed junior teams.
As ever the economic conditions are a challenge so please sign up soon and try to support the club as much as possible . We really appreciate it and there is no better place to be when the sun is shining , or its raining !! Its also great in the winter.

Finally as a club we are also looking for volunteer's to help and sponsorship. We have a number of new initiatives this year including Sponsoring a player or a match ." Clubman of the Year" Gareth Darby is leading that and Kate Taplin is heading the Sponsorship team.
