Bar and Catering Update

Gareth Darby2 Apr - 11:00

New Caterers, Bar Improvements and Price Changes

As we head into the 2025 summer season we’d like to provide all our members with a bar and catering update.

We are delighted to say that we signed a deal at the end of January with a new preferred catering supplier.

Isalie will be known to many of you as they currently operate from Berkhamsted Tennis and Squash Club and Tring Athletic FC, we extend a warm welcome to Claire, Graham and all their hardworking team. They will be providing our traditional Friday night training food offering from 18th April and will also be providing bar food on Summer Saturdays from 19th April. In addition Isalie will be catering for our popular members lunches on selected Saturday’s during the summer and our county games. They are looking forward to seeing you as the season begins. We are planning a soft launch on Friday 11th April for the first evening of junior training.

The bar has also had some changes over the winter. Our new bar manager Anna Stokes took over in September and has assembled an excellent bar team over the winter months. We have also installed a Bridge on the bar which will mean quicker service and a better customer experience. Heineken Silver has been replaced by Cruz Campo and Tring Brewery Startop has replaced Drop Bar on draught.

Now to the not so fun bit. As most of you will have read in the media many hospitality venues have been hit by increased prices from suppliers and changes to the minimum wage structure. We are not immune from these challenges and faced some significant price alterations after dropping many prices in 2024. We are lucky to have our main suppliers Dayla and Tring Brewery working with us to try and minimise these changes, as a result of which, whilst our prices will increase this month we have been able to minimise the increases.

All the team cannot wait to see you at the club. With the weather looking sensational for early April why not come down this weekend, which is the Club ‘Get Set’ Weekend and lend a hand as we get the club ready for the cricket season. The bar is open on Friday 7.30 til 11.30pm, Saturday 12 til 8pm and Sunday 12 til 7pm.
