The Piranhas home game against Berkhamsted was abandoned after only 10 overs had been bowled in the first innings.

After an early team photo, captain on the day Toby Seagrave lost the toss and Berkhamsted opted to bat. The visitors started in very positive fashion taking advantage of the field restrictions. Swing bowler Ed Pike bowled an excellent opening spell going for 20 runs in his four overs and picked up the wicket of opener Jamie Smith when he clean bowled him with an excellent yorker.

The penultimate over before the rain resulted in the loss of the only other wicker. Duncan Marriott dismissed the impressive Matthew Pryke who was well caught at Fly Slip by Benn Kempster. The rains came with our visitors set at 83-2 off 10 overs with the match being abandoned at 7.30pm.
