Fours Beaten By League Leaders

Their openers put on 107 and got them off to a great start and were restricted by a good bowling and fielding performance as they were held to 218-8 off their 45 overs.

Highlights in the field were an excellent diving catch by the returning Nick Wale while our young attack of Finn Wade, Ben Bezani and Harry Grinham all showed great promise and were unlucky not to take more wickets.

The Fourth Team had hoped to give it a go but an accurate bowling attack meant they never really got going. Jim Turner top scored with 39 but we collapsed from 65-2 to 90 all out.

It was good to have a couple of beers with some of their players afterwards and we look forward to the return game. It was always going to be a tough season after promotion but we are Tring Park and will always give it our best shot.
