The club’s new Twenty20 team the Tring Park Piranhas kick off their season in just under a month’s time.

The idea of the team is that it caters mainly for players from the third and fourth teams, junior players aged 15+ and for older players whose work and family commitments have restricted or stopped them playing cricket at the weekends.

Everybody who is picked is guaranteed to get a good game of cricket. The top six in the batting order will all be batters with the wicket-keeper, while the bottom five in the order will all be bowlers. James Wheeler is organising and captaining the team with Toby Seagrave taking on the role of vice-captain.

We have 12 Friendlies confirmed for the summer while we have also entered the Heath Cup knockout competition where we have drawn Hemel Hempstead in the first round.

All home games are being played on Wednesday evenings and we are playing in a new coloured kit which is also to be worn by the First Team in all their limited overs games this season.

We have purchased spare kit so that you don't need your own to play. If you do want to purchase your own, you can purchase a short-sleeved shirt and trousers directly from Chiltern Sports.

All selections will be done through our website. To be considered for selection, all players need to be paid up members of the club. If you intend just to play for the Piranhas and not at the weekends, a social membership will be sufficient.
