All senior players of all abilities are now welcome on Thursday evenings at the First and Second Team Practice and Net Session.

Starting this evening, all senior players are more welcome to join in with the First and Second Team Practise and Net Session which is run by Club Coach Wilson Gumbs. Club nets will continue to be run on Tuesday so players have the option of both net sessions.

Director of Cricket Gordon Dutch explains the reasons behind this decision. "Firstly club nets on Tuesday evenings have seen very few third and fourth team players attending. We believe one of the reasons could be of lack of quality practise, by offering the opportunities to net on Thursdays, these concerns should diminish.

Integration and quality is very important to the club. The cricket committee believe by having practise on the same night both these areas will improve. This will strengthen the club as a whole while driving standards up of all that attend".

The cricket committee believe that there is enough facilities on offer for all players to gain suitable practise on a Thursday. We will have one grass net and the three astroturf nets on offer plus the outfield to use for fielding and wicketkeeping drills.
