Grant's spell helped the Second Team skittle out Kidmore End for only 75 runs which secured a narrow opening day victory. Grant received 75% of the votes on our twitter account, with chairman and Fourth Team batsman Nick Wale finishing second with 13% of the vote.
The twitter vote that has been initiated this summer, puts one player from each Saturday team who the committee thought had the best game for his own team. Nick Wake finished second after scoring 59 for the Fourth Team against Hayes, while bowlers Andy Harris and Tom Powell-Williams finished third and fourth after both picking up four wicket hauls for the First and Third Teams respectively.
