Tring Park starlet Gemma Marriott’s excellent 2017 was capped with a County award this week

Gemma was awarded the batting award for Hertfordshire U17s at the county’s end of season awards at Knebworth Golf Club on Wednesday evening.

As well as staring for both our club’s junior and senior teams, Gemma represented Hertfordshire U17s, Hertfordshire Women and Middlesex Women 2nd XI last summer. Overall for Hertfordshire U17s, Gemma scored 376 runs at an average of just over 34, scoring two half centuries and her highest score 113 v Buckinghamshire at Leverstock Green.

She also scored a three further half centuries with one each for Hertfordshire U15s, Middlesex 2nd XI and also at a National Schools ECB Under 17 tournament.

2018 already looks being for Gemma as she is now a full member of the Middlesex Women’s squad and she was also selected just before Christmas to be a member of the ECB Regional Development Programme and will be based with Surrey Stars franchise.

Everybody at the club is very proud of Gemma and wishes her the best of luck this summer. We all hope she’ll be able to squeeze in a couple of games for us!
