The club are hosting a game in memory of club legend David Kempster on Monday, August 27th as a Tring Park Over 40s team take on Long Marston.

The teams on the day will compete for the first David Kempster Memorial Cup. David as well as being a fine player for our club, also supported Long Marston as a club member and was a friend to so many.

The 35 over match will begin at 1pm. There will be a BBQ if we have nice weather, there will be hot food available from the bar regardless of the weather. Feel free to bring picnics if you wish, but PLEASE, wherever possible, use the club bar.

Captain for the day Benn Kempster is now in the position to name his Tring Park squad for this highly anticipated fixture.

Now resembling Mike Gatting in the Third Team as he leads the charge for promotion.

Richard Ambrose
Having returned from a Sri Lankan holiday this summer, “Curtly” will be steadying the Dad’s Army ship.

Peter Ambrose
Left-handed, he is the ECB’s representative in the game whose favourite flower is the lilly.

Matthew Bowyer
Run scoring legend last seen channeling Graham Poll against unsuspecting junior footballers.

Gareth Darby
Luton Town fan who is currently juggling nursing and child-care duties. Nasty business.

Mark Devlin
Bothamesque for the club in the 80’s and 90’s, “Devs” has never been given out sweeping. Ever.

David Doyle
The club'ss grower of flowers who has tried inventing dances to conjure up rain. Hopefully he’s not as good at that as he is preparing pitches.

Andy Grout
Comparable to Murali for his mystery spin and leader of the club’s 4th XI. Legend.

Wilson Gumbs
The club's head coach and mastermind behind this year’s teams’ successes. Long may it continue.

Stuart Moseley
First Team Captain for many years, leg-spinner and substitute England fielder, “Mose” will significantly raise the IQ level in the changing room.

Daniel Plumeridge
More likely to be seen calling his hound to heel and preparing for the grouse
shooting season than on a cricket field these days.

Simon Stanway
Septuagenarian “Stanners” has been playing for the club's First Team since the 80’s; the 1880’s.

Simon Shearman
The miracle of surgery means there is a possibility of left-handed “Spesh” making an appearance; his kit might need a brush up though.

Keith Wallis
Prone to kidnapping and now playing for arch rivals High Wycombe, “Becksy” was a fixture behind the stumps in the 80’s and 90’s.

Richard Yates
The love child of Tuffers and Gregg Wallace, look for pastry and gravy on a length.
